Saint Laurence does, and always has believes that it's work must extend wider than just the walls of the church.

We actively seek to combine our passion for work with young people with the message of social action proclaimed in the Gospels.

In each school holiday we devote time to improving, maintaining and giving back to our local community in Reading.

For as long as we can remember we've been taking bus loads of young people into parts of Reading, in conjuction with the borough council, to work on our area.

We paint railings, pick litter, clear rivers and build banks. We decorate the homes of single parents. We clean up childrens parks and paint murals on buildings.

Whatever we do, we do to help the people of Reading and give something back to the community that gives us so much.
